Hot Tub Removal

Hot Tub Removal and Disposal on the North Shore

Hot tub removal is the job most junk haulers turn down, and it’s the one we get called for most often after somebody else has said no. A full spa weighs several hundred pounds empty, sits behind a fence or on a raised deck, and won’t fit through any gate in one piece.

Our approach is to break it down on site. We drain the tub, cut the acrylic shell into manageable sections, separate the frame, foam insulation, plumbing, and motor components, then carry everything out by hand. No crane, no removing your fence, no equipment tearing up the lawn.

The metal, plumbing, and motor go to scrap recycling. The shell and foam go to disposal. What’s left behind is an empty pad or deck.

How Hot Tub Removal Works

Send Photos of the Tub and the Access Route

Photos of the spa, the gate, and the path to the driveway. Access is what determines the price more than tub size.

Confirm the Quote and Disconnect Power

We give a firm price. Hardwired 240V units need a licensed electrician to disconnect first. We’ll tell you if yours does.

Drain, Cut, Carry, Clean

We drain the tub, cut it down, carry it out in sections, sweep the pad, and haul everything away in the same visit.

Hot Tub Removal FAQs

It depends mostly on access, not size. A tub sitting on an open patio near the driveway is the low end. One behind a locked gate, up a flight of deck stairs, or in a fully enclosed yard costs more because it takes longer to break down and carry. Photos get you an accurate number.

If the tub is hardwired to a 240V circuit, yes. That disconnect has to be done by a licensed electrician for safety and code reasons. If it plugs into a standard outlet, we handle it.

You can, and it saves a little time, but we’ll drain it if it’s still full. Just let us know so we plan for where the water goes.

That’s exactly why we cut the tub down instead of dragging it. We lay protection over decking, carry sections by hand, and avoid rolling heavy equipment across grass.

Yes. Skirting, surrounds, steps, gazebo structures, and the concrete pad can all go in the same job. Mention it in your quote request so it’s priced in.
